Preventive Medications
Eaton is offering special coverage for additional preventive medications that help protect against or manage a medical condition, such as:

* Preventing blood clots and reducing risk of a stroke
* Preventing heart disease and reducing high blood pressure
* Preventing osteoporosis

In addition, under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), certain Preventive Care Medications are covered at 100% without charging a coinsurance or meeting a deductible. You can use your member ID card to get these medications at no cost if they are:

* Prescribed by a health care professional
* Age and condition appropriate
* Filled at a network pharmacy

The drugs on the Preventive Medications List are also not subject to a deductible or coinsurance. Eaton offers this special coverage so you can save money and get the medications you need to help you live a healthier life. If you get these drugs from an out-of-network pharmacy you will have to pay the full cost for them.

Your prescription drug benefits

Working with your benefits plan sponsor, Optum Rx provides convenient and flexible options for the prescription drugs you and your family may need. We are here to guide you through the open enrollment process and to help you understand your plan options, so that you can save time and money when your benefits plan starts.

The easiest way to find out if a prescription is covered is to check the Prescription Drug List — which takes the most commonly prescribed medications and organizes them into cost tiers.

Tier 1 ($) – Lowest Cost. Mostly generic and some name-brand medications

Tier 2 ($$) – Mid-range Cost. A mix of brand-name and generic medications

Tier 3 ($$$) – Highest Cost. Mostly brand-name drugs, as well as some generic medications

When it comes to coverage, keep in mind that some medications may have requirements before filling them. Also, if a medication doesn't fit your budget, it's a good idea to remember your doctor is here to help - talk to them about lower cost options.

Specialty Medications

Medications used to treat complex or rare conditions may need to be obtained from a specialty pharmacy. You may also be able to use our specialty pharmacy for ongoing support.

A Patient Care Coordinator from Optum Specialty Pharmacy, will help you enroll in our program when we receive your request to fill a specialty medication. The coordinator will also help you schedule your next medication delivery and manage your medical supplies. We will send you a welcome packet to explain the program.

Visit specialty.optumrx.com to learn more about our specialty pharmacy.

Managing Mail Order

Ordering your prescriptions via mail service is fast and convenient. If you are managing long-term or chronic conditions, using our mail service pharmacy makes sense - you can purchase up to a three-month supply of most prescription medications.

Once Optum Rx receives your complete order for a new prescription, your medications should arrive within ten business days. Completed refill orders should arrive within seven business days. If we need to contact you or your doctor to get additional information, it may take longer.

You can order your refills as early as 21 days in advance of when you need your medications. Please order at least 10 to 14 days before you need your refills on hand. There are several easy ways to order prescription refills.

* Online - Go to the My Medicine Cabinet page and have copayments charged to a credit card.
* By Mail - All orders are mailed with a reorder form. Just check the medications you want to refill and mail the form back to our mail order pharmacy, along with a check or your credit card information. Do not send cash in the mail.
* By Phone - Our friendly customer service advocates are available by phone, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

You can also simplify your life and let Optum Rx Home Delivery automatically refill your eligible medications for you by enrolling in the Automatic Refill program. Select the medications you’d like to enroll, make sure your shipping address and credit card on file are current, and when your items are ready to ship, we will notify you and your medications will ship directly to your house
